A few good questions.
Is everything free?
Kipby is free to browse. Community projects are free; original commercial games must be obtained separately. Developers may accept donations.
Is this emulation?
Some projects recompile or rebuild games to run natively. Others are emulators or engine recreations. Each project page identifies its type.
Do you include game files?
No ROMs, disc images, commercial game data or firmware are distributed here. Follow the developer guide using your own original files.
Will this work on any PS5?
No. Homebrew needs compatible system software and a working setup. Read the current developer documentation for your console.
Can I install from this website?
Release buttons open developer downloads. RecompStore manages supported installations on a compatible console. The optional local companion can send its installer payload.
How do updates work?
The daily cloud checker observes releases and developer progress when deployed and configured. It does not install game updates. New projects enter a review queue before catalogue publication.
